Our curriculum is tailored to meet individual needs and aspirations, which ensure all our children are interested and motivated to learn. We have high expectations and a strong focus on English, Maths and Science as well as the broader curriculum; enabling children to leave Awbridge as rounded children ready for their next step in life.  The broad and balanced curriculum allows all children to succeed.  The rich opportunities beyond the classroom such as trips and residentials offer the children experiences that allow them to challenge themselves and take risks.

At Awbridge we promote enjoyment for learning and encourage children to be independent, reflective learners through the development of thinking skills. To provide this curriculum, teachers plan carefully accounting for mixed-age classes using a two-yearly cycle. This ensures continuity and progression in children’s learning.

Knowledge of how each individual learns best is important to us. Clear procedures are in place to identify and meet children’s individual needs, providing extra support and new challenges where appropriate to help every child fulfil their potential.
